Benelli has the SBE, M2 and Vinci —all of which cost over $1,200—but that’s about it for dedicated waterfowl autos. Beretta has a host of old guns that are no longer in production that can be had for $500 to $1,000 on the used market, plus the new A300 Ultima costs around $800. Benelli is a much higher quality that franchi. But franchi is a solid budget semi auto. Benelli will stand behind there product until your grand children own than gun. Thats the major difference between higher end brands and middle of the road brand. Higher quality control and better service if things break. Right now I’m leaning towards the Franchi because of the cerakote and the fact that it can take 3 1/2 shells (I know they aren’t necessary but I like the option) but I’m still very torn. The only advantage to the M2 seems to be the comfortech stock resulting in less recoil. The only other discernible difference I've come across is the location of the recoil spring is in the stock for the M2 vs over the mag tube on the Affinity which makes them balance differently, and apparently is also a pain to get to on the M2.Franchi Affinity 3.
