With my Remington i could get off 3 shells in about 2.5 seconds. With the SXP i can get off 3 shells in about 1.5 secs. Really with shotguns it's all a matter of preference. I am all about the pumps. Said it many times; I own both a Mossberg 500 and a 870 and the 870 is a much better gun. Few things have been mentioned, like the position of the safety on the 500 is kind of bad. Where I really notice the difference though is the feel of the gun.
